Salt + Sun

It's now been two months since taking the huge jump into moving 10 hours from home. Just a short 60 days ago, we packed up our tiny apartment in Pittsburgh and made our way down the coast to sunny Charleston, South Carolina. I'm still not sure how Nick and I loaded up the moving truck just the two of us, but we managed.

Life at the beach is certainly much sweeter. It's always been a dream of mine to be able to feel the sand under my toes whenever I wanted. To smell the salty air and feel the sun on my skin for more than just 3 months out of the year. It might sound brag-y, and its only been two months, but I'm just really happy right now. It feels selfish to say that as the world around me seems to be crumbling. I guess I'm just trying to find the positives in this crazy year of 2020.

Anyways, being in this climate and beautiful home has brought back a lot of inspiration and passions that I thought were long gone. I used to blog, and I LOVED it. When I started my career in the hair industry though, it was so fast paced that all of my fires for anything else had quickly burned out. Taking a step back from hair and allowing myself to enjoy this new chapter of my life has opened my eyes again to what I love. So here we are. Making posts about things not many people will care about, but it gives me an outlet I guess. Maybe you'll enjoy this, but if not that's okay. I'm just happy to be in the salt + sun for awhile.
